What anime has moved you more than any other? (If it's difficult to name one, you can name a few :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: )

As for me, I don't think any anime has made me as emotional as the one I just finished yesterday - Clannad. It's so, so, so good. :') <3

    What about you guys?

Death note has 2 or 3 scenes which almost made me cry, as does fate zero

Detective School Q. Please don't judge. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. I was 11 when I saw it. It had some moving scenes.

Elfen lied was my first thought. But that feel more tragic than moving.

    Hmm....

Maybe Honey and Clover. It has this kind of slow, touching feel to it, that just...get you. Gently and quietly, you suddenly have all these feels about the character and feel a connection to them. It hurts in the end, but not the kind of pain that makes you feel despair, rather a bittersweet realization and growing up out of it.

I haven't watched anime in a while, but Angel Beats felt so fulfilling to me. Everything about it was just so beautiful and I became so invested in the characters thanks to how they organised the episodes. It is definitely worth watching.

Full metal alchemist's backstory is enough to make you cry.

And for some reason Tokyo ghoul (first series, not second that was terrible) I found to be slightly moving.

Strawberry Panic. The ending was tearful.

    Thanks for the forewarning.

Right now, I'm close to finishing Gakkou Gurashi. The problem is, one of the later episodes is a punch in the gut that I still haven't recovered from. Now I'm torn. I want to power through to the end, but I don't want to risk getting my soul crushed.

I guess there's only one way to deal with this. :frowning2:

Gurren Lagann, actually. The connection between Simon and Kamina is one for the ages.

Mine would have to be the movie-length anime of Hayao Miyazaki---Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Totoro. I just saw Spirited Away on the big screen with a friend at this local artsy theatre and it was amazing!

Oh, and I also found the series One Piece very moving, especially early on.

    Grave of the fireflies...

It is the story of a brother and sister set in World War II Japan. Very sad, though.

Gintama, just to fuck with you.

Then tokyo ghoul because (spoilers) kanae dies, and he was cute.
Oh yeah, the last scene in root a where kaneki carries hide's body through the ccg. That made me cry, and I have no soul, so that was pretty emotinal. And the bit where kuroiwa dies and juuzou gets upset because he never had anybody close to him, and therefor nobody close to him That dies. That's moving.

Oh yeah, I almost teared up at the end of SAO II where whats-er-face dies of some fatal disease and everybody comes along and mourns. That bits sad.

Oh yeah again, nausicaa of the valley of the wind, which is also my favourite film of all time.

Kanon 2006! Same producers as Clannad.

Clannad would be a close second for me,
