    The new Independence Day movie's scheduled release date is Summer 2016.

    However. Will Smith won't be in the movie. So they kill of his character in a hybrid plane crash in 2007. Testing hybrid technology.

    I saw the original at the movies 20 years ago, I liked it. I hope this one will be good but so far many complain that it looks like a low budget. lol

    I liked it. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I do like Jeff Goldblum though - whatever he says makes me laugh, I can't help it. Also, y'know, the first movie is a really fun movie but it's not a "classic" so I don't really feel like they can ruin a legacy with this one. All it needs to be is another fun disaster movie.

    Yes, I totally agree. There's nothing "classic' about the first movie. lol

    There's definitely nothing to ruin about the first movie. I like Jeff Goldblum, but I don't think I'll be running to the theater for this one.

    Hope he's got his macbook and his mad hacker skillz ready.
