Some of my favourite singers are: France: Indila, Zaz, Alizée, Isabelle Aubret, France Gall, Anne-Marie David, Sandrine François, Michèle Torr, Édith Piaf... Canada: Natasha St-Pier, Céline Dion, Mylène Farmer... Belgium: Kate Ryan... Other countries: Marie Myriam (I think she has the French nationality), Zaho (Algeria), Vicky Leandros (Greece)...
Anaïs Delva. Both the version of "Libérée, délivrée" (Let it Go), Movie and Pop are the only french songs I've ever heard. Merde! I do intend to remedy that soon.
I didn't know french music was a genre of its own but... I listen to it! The genre that I listen to vary though because it depends on my mood.
