As some of you may have heard, they're remaking Rocky Horror Picture Show, and some of the cast was announced. 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' Remake: Casting Complete some of the cast includes… Laverne Cox - Frank-n-furter Victoria Justice- Janet Ryan McCarten- Brad I'm not too excited. I don't think they should remake it at all, and i think that it is slightly to controversial for TV. I don't like the cast either. The actors are all great individually, but its kind of odd. Thoughts?
Yeah, I'm not really looking forward to this either. I like Laverne Cox, but I really can't see her as Dr. Frank-n-furter. Also not a big fan of the rest of the cast either, unfortunately. I don't think it would be too controversial for TV, it's been a while since I've seen it, but most of it is the same as what they're already showing on TV. I think that the most that I can hope for is for it to be moderately entertaining.
Some things should be left alone. I would not want to watch a remake of this, I just don't think it would work.
The original is such a gem, and as it ages, is a curious historical commentary...why remake this. And for Television, at that? I'm very tired of all these movies that are remakes and series, with 12 squeals...it's as if they can't come up with anything new. I'm finished with both remakes and 'franchises'.
