Ok, I understand this may be a little controversial, but hear me out. On his latest album he has introduced three new characters; button eyes (the blind guy), the priest and the showman. I think the new characters could be aspects of his personality. In the video Lazarus, it shows button eyes and the showman. Button eyes is on a hospital/insane asylum bed. It shows him in apparent struggle on the bed. The showman then comes out of the wardrobe and button eyes seems to be extremely happy. The showman tries to force himself to sign some contract but decides not to (may be a record deal for a new album) The showman then goes back into the wardrobe in the ending scene (the showman aspect of David Bowie is gone for good) Remember he is 69 and he did have a heart attack on stage a year before his last performance in 2006. Could he have heart problems and blackstar is his goodbye? Could he have been told he doesnt have long to live? Tell me your thoughts below!

I mean let's wait for an official word from him. I mean, he hasn't spoke out and said, "I'm dying and have cancer." I mean, I don't like to speculate and assume shit of people.

It's better to hear from him or his press person or agent.

Dude, you're scary. :frowning2: Are you a psychic or something? I'd laugh but I'm honestly pretty depressed.

I read this last night and didn't reply because I honestly didn't want to think about it. Then I woke up to the news.

    David Bowie was my idol.

Did me and the OP guy predict the future or some shit?

This is second time this happen. When I googled "Liz Taylor" the night before she died in March 2011.

Does anyone agree that Darkstar was his "goodbye" to his fans? I've been reading about that online. I haven't listened to the whole album but does anyone agree.

Supposedly, yes. He's had cancer for 18 months and nobody really knew about it. He held out just long enough to release the album and then croaked just a couple of days afterwards surrounded by his family. Kinda feels like he made sure to release the album and then felt like he was done.

He still is my idol and always will be. He lives on in his music, art and the impact he made on our culture.
