David bowie has died of an 18 month long struggle with cancer. 2016 is turning out to be a pretty crap year... First Lemmy and now Bowie...

So sad. I only started appreciating Bowie in the last couple of years, but what a great talent. I watched Labyrinth about 15 times as a teenager with my female friends & had to put on Dance Magic Dance this morning when I heard the news.

Played my vinyl copy of "Heroes" nice and loud today.

    Gone, but never, ever forgotten.

I definitely did not see this coming. Bowie was such an inspiration to my life and taught me that it is alright to be different. I've been listening to Bowie all day, and Im just devastated.

    Stars look very different today.

Bowie an inspiration to be different. An inspiration to be strange. A motivator to reinvent oneself.

I didn't always understand Bowie, and that made him beautiful.

I have fond memories of seeing him in concert in 1987. While the glass spider tour was generally panned by critics, it was one of the highlights during my teenage years. I admired his individualism and eccentricity, he was a role model.

RIP Bowie! You lived just as you died; weird and artfully!:tears:
