Recently I was recommended this movie by my psychology professor and I had watched the movie and the play and it REALLY upset me. I consider myself just a normal human being, nothing beyond decent, and I can't comprehend the intentional death of -- let's be honest -- fucking awesome people. It was a huge eye opener. It left a huge impression on me and I will promote it at every chance available because I think it is so amazingly and unapologetically truthful. I strongly feel its importance for not just the lgbt community, but all people who are capable of feeling compassion. My only wish is that I had watched it sooner. Are there any other movies/plays/books that are worth my time like The Normal Heart is? Larry Kramer is absolutely incredible and I would love to be more familiar about people like him. Also, what are your thoughts on it? I would love discussion on it!
That movie killed me. I watched it early in the morning right after it aired and cried for the rest of the day. If I could make everyone watch it, I would.
I never want to see anything bad happen to -------- ever again. The saddest film I've ever watched - sadder than Marley & Me. (hyphens preventing spoilers)
I cried so hard for this movie. The only other one that even came close to being as sad as this one was the blindside. . . :<
OMG I barely got through this movie. I don't usually get sad with these type of movies, but yeah this one got to me. It was a little too much for me, omg. Like since the first time I saw my My Sisters's Keeper or something. Are there any other movies/plays/books that are worth my time like The Normal Heart is? Yes I would say there is. But this one I'd say is authentically portrayed well.
