Regardless you agree with the academia or not, you just got to agree that Lady Gaga was absolutely fantastic. It pissed me off she didn't won, specially after giving a mind blowing performance. Damn, this babe fucking rocks...
Should have gotten them all! :icon_mrgr I wanna be salty about George Miller not getting Best Director after the masterclass in directing he did and the groundwork he [hopefully] laid for all future action movie directors, but I can't be mad about Alejandro González Iñárritu getting it 'cuz the dude earned it too. Should have gotten Best Cinematography tho. It handily beats The Revenant on that front. The Hateful Eight, on the other hand, would have been an acceptable substitute—if still not ideal.
While that is great and all that now I feel kinda empty. It's a joke no more. But a great thing is that he cares about our little blue sphere that is floating in the endless abyss of universe. Take care - Foxer
So Leo won an Oscar for one of the worse films he's been in? DGAF! He got an Oscar! Some people have been celebrating hard!
I actually feel sad that Di Caprio got an Oscar. I did enjoy his performance in the Revenant, but it destroyed an entire joke. ---------- Post added 29th Feb 2016 at 01:25 PM ---------- The Revenant was great! I get it's not to everyone's taste but you have to admire the effort and skill that went into it.
Yeah, I really enjoyed the Oscars this year. Chris Rock was a great host and Lady Gaga's performance was stunning. Although, I wish that Carol and The Martian actually got to win an award. But my favourite film of the year, Ex Machina, won an award, so I'm okay. Plus, Leonardo DiCaprio won an Oscar! (!) Although, I might be excited, just because I'm so tired of the "Give Leo an Oscar!1!" meme.
I found this year's Oscars pretty boring, though I did enjoy Gaga's performance. I thought Chris Rock was a terrible host, and a lot of his jokes were incredibly tone deaf and fell really flat, but I've never been a big fan of his anyway. Was glad to see Mad Max pick up so many awards, particularly since several of them were for women working behind the scenes, which is always nice to see. Have not seen many of the flicks that were nominated for the big awards, so can't really comment much on who deserved what. I would like to see Ex Machina, Spotlight, Carol and The Danish Girl and maybe The Room though. Not terribly interested in leo or the bear.
I'm so angry that Carol didn't get a single award. I mean, obviously, we all know why. Because the majority of critics involved are male and its a male dominated industry. Lady Gaga's performance was stunning though, I fell about 200% more in love with her. And I loved the fact that she had males on the stage as well. You go. I love her almost as much as I love Cate Blanchett right now. And Cate is bae.
