Sadly a good deal of good shows aren't currently playing in NYC, we are stuck with some worthless ones though. Hopefully Wicked never closes, Shrek should!

 

We performed Les Miserables at our school, our freshmen year, I think...
I didn't care for it though, just not my cup of tea.

are we talking plays or movies. Because i am a fan grease, that and its the only play musical ive ever seen, well not true i saw avenue q that was cool, but the best musical is a movie and its called Across the Universe. Simply brilliant movie, so well made and artistic and just powerful. Highly recommended

 

The Phantom of the Opera and Sweeney Todd.

I have the Avenue Q soundtrack, but have yet to listen to it...

I love musicals, which makes it unfortunate that I have only seen a few. However, I have a lot of soundtracks, and the following are some of my favorites (in no particular order):

Miss Saigon (I really like Lea Salonga)

Thoroughly Modern Millie

The Pirate Queen

Sooooo... yeah, those are some of the ones that I really like. Again, I would love to actually see most of them, but as it is, the soundtracks are good.

Lion King (went to Broadway production. horrible)
Saturday Night Fever! (They had this in Singapore when I was there. awesome!)

 

Musicals are brilliant and I love going to watch them at the West End.
The best and most ultimate to date is Les Miserables......definitely worth paying £30 for!

 

Grease has always been my fav.

 

Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog! and Once More with Feeling (Buffy Episode!).
Once More With Feeling is hard to get if you don't watch the show, but I would suggest Dr. Horrible for everyone, it's an amazing 45 minutes of awesome.

Man I love Joss Whedon.

 

It's much easier to name the musicals I hate...
Grease, Rent, and Spring Awakening.
