Good old Superman being a hero in a really human way. It's an encouraging read... Thanks for posting.

I don't read much superman, as he's a bit too whitebread for my tastes, however this arc (Grounded) was actually one that I did pick up. The focus of this arc was supposed to be Supes exploring why he does what he does and really talking and communicating with the people he helps. Making him more human and whatnot.

Due to poor writing and some weird stuff going on behind the scenes, Grounded didn't turn out very well, and didn't connect very much with fans. That said, scenes like the one you posted really exemplify what they were going for, and what they were trying to get across with the arc.

Unfortunately, DCCU Superman as well as N52 Supes are more focused on gritty tough guy crime fighting, and I think really miss the mark regarding what makes Superman who he is. I really wish we saw more of this side of him, both in comics and out.
