Star Wars is awesome. Just Saying. I know this guy that I always joke around with him being "my father" and so I call him Darth Vader and stuff. My mom got me into it and took me to see the Force Awakens the opening night. It was so exhilerating.
TFA was such an excellent experience to watch in the cinemas. Wish I could go back and re-experience all over again, though of course there were such heartbreaking moments. It's definitely going to be one of those late-night movies I watch at home though Can't wait for the next movies. Now I kind of want to rewatch the old ones
OK, so the rebels crushed the Empire in the original trilogy (taking out 2 death stars) and in TFA immediately blew up the death star NEO or whatever they're calling it these days ... considering all of the above, I have to root for the true underdog. C'mon First Order, I know you can do it! I believe in you!
Awww hon I get you. I actually haven't watched it yet, so I'm rather happy that I can do so over dinner tomorrow night ^___^ Honestly, I kind of like the Sith in the sole sense that I can strongly identify with hatred and anger being a guiding force of action. It would be kewl to see more Jedi give into that or more Sith being not abjectly evil. Also, the Rule of Two is incredibly dumb.
I love Star Wars, but as great as it is the baddies always have a bit too many flaws I think. One would think that as many Death Stars they've built that they would be a bit less fragile by now. I'm thinking a fleet of Star Destroyers would do the job much better. Also they've got all these fancy prosthetic body parts, Vader was practically made of the stuff. You'd think they would put some on their Stormtrooper's eyes to give them better aim, even if only slightly. I haven't had the chance to watch TFA yet, I missed the chance at the theatre. I want to watch carefully to see if the troopers know how to hold their blasters yet.
The sound in my cinema was a bit too loud :/ I felt as if I had cottonwool in my ears after the show. And... I have a hearing deficiency (inner ear infection in childhood, long story, not because of the cinema). And people were commenting so lound. Was that also the case for you, guys? Re-watching the whole saga in the silence of your own flat seems to be a good idea, mmm, with some nachos.
Damn, sorry to hear about the sound and all! People didn't really talk during my movie; but we pretty much collectively gasped/reacted at similar times  Sounds great, I must have a Star Wars marathon sometime. The Skywalker family, always at it again. Or I might just go online and read the hundreds of theories there are out there about The Force Awakens before the next one is released. I really want to get the novelisation to have a read too.
Same here. The Jedi Order's suppression of every primal urge is likely what causes the other Force users to go totally to the dark side. I've got a short story going right now that deals with this mix of good intentions and using negative emotions as a motivator. But yeah, Rule of Two... why would any master take an apprentice if he expects the punk to betray him? I liked the Sith way better in the Old Republic era. They were badasses with their own might who didn't need no Empire.
I find Anakin to be a tragic character. Just a tragic character who likes to eat live bugs and dislikes sand  ---------- Post added 2nd Apr 2016 at 07:06 PM ---------- Anakin Defense Squad for life, tbf ---------- Post added 2nd Apr 2016 at 07:07 PM ---------- I'm more into the Rey Kenobi theory, myself. I tend to agree with the Grey Jedi way myself, where they use aspects from both codes to live in a light-dark balance.
