What songs gave you the chills? Why or is there a specific part or attribute of the song which caused it?

Never heard beauty like it. When the bagpipes hit the high notes around 1:36... *shivers*

This is one of my most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. I just adore the breaking down towards the end of the song... Amei's voice is gorgeous.

Early Sunsets Over Monroeville by My Chemical Romance
the raw emotion throughout the song is enough to have me crying like a baby

Two by Twenty One Pilots
it has a creepy vibe to it, and the whispery singing makes it even better.

Disorder by Joy Division
every part of that song is just so beautiful

and also i'm really scared by Fox Academy
my friend just got me into this group yesterday, and their music is incredible.
it is calming, yet distantly eerie, and has this vibe to it that sends me into chills

Game over music from Dr. Mario, or as i like to call it " strapped on chair, waiting to be killed by a deranged psycho".

Sick of Losing Soulmates by Dodie Clark. I go on and on about her and her music, and other than maybe She, this is the one of hers I relate to the most.

The Home Fires theme music by Samuel Sim. The choral sound with the cello is just amazing

Evelyn, Evelyn - Evelyn, Evelyn (I THINK they're just called that anyway...)
Just in love with their voices.

The Bed Song - Amanda Palmer
Beautiful story and video~

Burning Pile - Mother Mother and Body - Mother Mother
The voice in these two songs is just perfect !! Burning Pile is so solemn yet somewhat inspiring and I adore the way he sings at 2:15 ! And the lyrics of Body sound so dysphoric and the way of thinking used to write them is a relatable feeling. (´∀`)♡

- Happy to contribute, Umi

Disturbed-Sound of Silence is the first that comes to my mind. He has such an amazing voice and totally does the remake of the song major justice. Just love it.

I second that; it's the one I was going to mention. This is kind of my song at the moment; that one I could listen to over and over. Great song.

There's probably wayyyy more that I just can't think of atm, but these are the 2 that come most readily to mind:

I'd imagine the reason for the 1st one should be obvious (other than the fact that it is the best-written contemporary song out there). The second one, don't ask me why :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.

Ah, now that I read above, that reminds me that Disturbed's Believe is definitely another one for me.

Aghhh, I love Dodie, and this song is so beautifully sad.

---------- Post added 13th Apr 2016 at 06:02 PM ----------

Bon Iver - Heavenly Father

specifically
"I just been up here for god damn years
Can you see now?
Filling up hulls with god damn fears"
Something about the combination of his voice and the lyrics and its position in the song almost brings me to tears every single time.

Without a doubt my favourite song in this universe

I just love it so much because they hardly ever do "soft" songs so in this one you really get to hear his amazing voice. Im hoping they do more like it in the future. Never gets old listening to it thats for sure.

Time For You by K.Flay. The vulnerability of that song gets me every time!

There are a lot of songs that give me chills, either from how good they are, or the messages embedded in music itself. Heres a more recent one of mine, that I have been debating a lot as of late.

I originally didn't really think much about this song at all. But then, I looked into more of the background of the situation, and it hit me in a way I didn't really expect. A small TL: DR of it all, Graham Coxon (guitarist, quietish one) was basically kicked out of Blur for becoming an alcoholic due to the constant pressure of constant work in Blur, and the band tried to continue on without him, it hit Damon Albarn (front man, main songwriter) hardest, as basically he had lost closest friend, and main inspiration. So I would say that this was a response to it. The feels are so real.

(Its even more worse since they did a more acoustic version with Graham a few year later eeergh my feels just couldn't handle it)
