I'm trying to start a band with my friends, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for keeping things going past the first rehearsal. Also, my friends and I have quite different tastes in music- do you think that helps creativity or is it a stumbling block?

I have also tried to start a cover band with my friend. So far all we have is a name that isn't even the actual name of it, and we haven't done anything so idk
