did the songs you listen to reflect the feelings you weren't even aware of?

I noticed the songs i love/d and couldn't stop playing usually had a strong reflection on my feelings, even if i wasn't aware of it at the time. Have you experienced this? what's the song/s?

    i.e.some of mine:
    - "if i were a boy" beyonce - yep. loving a girl. even before i was questioning i used to listen to this on loop.
-"dancing on my own" Sebastian McCarty - being alone, the girl you love with a guy
-"love like this" i got lost in a memory as it shakes up the corners of my heart - that line. wow.
-"higher love" and "we don't eat" both by james vincent mcmarrow

it is like listening to them must help me project my feelings/ cathartic
