They're soooooo amazing. I think they're even comparable to Kristin and Idina.
The fact of the matter is that Frei Und Schwerelos is the reason that I want to learn German. And yeah, the German cast is really good, better than the Japanese cast anyway, which is also good, just not as good as the German cast. And yeah, I have way too much time on my hands.
TYLER! *slap* How DARE you use Kristin's name in vain. :tantrum: That is a deadly sin, so if you get smited by lightning or break a nail, you know why!
Do you know if the girl who plays Elphaba is a native German speaker. Just curious, by the way she says "ich" it comes of very American: "Isshhh" Nonetheless, it is an amazing performance.
I have been told by a friend taking an opera class right now that in some vocal pieces in German, the ich softens to almost an ish sound. I have no idea whether or not that statement is valid though,
I'm sorry, but this is just too funny. I took German several years ago, before I took Japanese but yeah... German, Japanese, either one is good but I'd have to say I enjoy the English version more. Kristin and Idina were great.
As EC's number one Kristin Chenoweth fan, I can compare her to whomever I wish. Besides, Lucy Scherer is just as good as Kristin. As for Idina... I think Shoshana Bean was much better. The only thing that Idina had going for her that Shoshana didn't, was the fact that Idina is OBC.
I'd take the London cast over the Broadway one any day. I love Kristin Chenoweth but I thought Dianne Pilkington was way better as Glinda.
god, I love broadway/west end/theatrical pro shots. most of what you see on youtube is handheld single camara shots with background noise. im going to have to look for the japanese cast now.
Wow, that'sa great performance. They are quite amazing! I definately prefer Kristin to the Glinda in this one, but the german Elphaba is a better singer than Idina in my opinion. I still love Kristin and Idina though, cause they had such great chemistry. But wow, I kinda want to see Wicked in Germany now
