I got my DS just over a week ago, and I have a cart to go with it so I can download (Oh, illegal!) games for it. Thing is, I've just been testing out games lately.

.. I really need some idea of some good games to put on it. D: Any games that are fun... My Sims is pretty awesome. So is Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. xD;; Oh, and Drawn to Life.

    Um, I would say try:
    Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
    Metroid Hunters
Chrono Trigger DS (Yes I know it's a remake, but it's such a good game)
    New Super Mario Bros.

Those are just a few of the games that I like.

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time
    Cooking Mama 1 and 2
    Puzzle Quest
    Mario Kart
Super Mario 64 (biased because it's a remake of a favourite of my early teens!)
Elite Beat Agents (and the Japanese versions, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 1 and 2)
    Meteos
    The World Ends With You

My 2c: The DS Metroid and Zelda games are terrible compared to the GBA ones. I can't stand the control system for Phantom Hourglass and I really wish they'd made a proper 2D Metroid game for the DS. Or even just ported Super Metroid... sheesh! If you can get GBA games, get Metroid Fusion, Metroid Zero Mission, all the Castlevania games, The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past/Four Swords, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Advance Wars 2, Astro Boy: Omega Factor and Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.

These are a few of my favorites:

    FF XII: Revenant Wings
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift
    Mario Kart
    Meteos
    Brain Age
    Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

And I can't wait until Pokemon Platinum and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon come out!

Kirby Super Star Ultra and Kirby Squeak Squad are both fantastic.

Being the sickeningly obsessed RPG nerd that I am, I also suggest you try the Final Fantasy 4/5/6 Advance games (assuming your DS has a GBA cartridge slot). I prefer them, from best to worst, 6>4>5, but it's up to you.

  7. I bought a DS about 2 weeks ago, because they're our current fad atm.
It was frisbee last year but now it's Mario Kart.

I only have The Phantom Hourglass and Mario Kart right now but (naturally) I'll buy Pokemon.
I haven't really thought about buying any other games.

It's a tad hilarious that I didn't know about the DS-i, oh well I wouldn't have wanted to wait for a DS anyway.

    I would suggest:

    Final Fantasy III
Final Fantasy IV (really hard, though...)
    Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2
    Phoenix Wright series
    Hotel Dusk: Room 215
    Chrono Trigger DS

You know, I really don't care if you're downloading games illegally myself, I have no stake in the outcome...but you're making an obvious point out of the fact. Did you suddenly discover torrenting and want everyone to know of your accomplishment?

Jump Ultimate Stars and Ouendan 1/2, they're Japanese only games but language doesn't really pose much of a problem for them. I also agree with others on the Phoenix Wright games and The World Ends With You. (TWEWY most likely being my favorite DS game)
Some others I'd suggest would be all three of the Castlevania games, they're all quite good, Fire Emblem is a pretty good strategy game and so is Disgaea DS even though its just a port, Professor Layton and the Curious Village is pretty fun, and just about anything else I could vouch for has already been said.

Well you seem like the nicest person ever! 8B
I was simply stating the fact that I do not currently have said ability. What else would I have said?
    Now shoo.

    I have that.
as I am a portal-0crazed gamer, I'd suggest "still alive DS" (google it if you want).
there's also that curious village game and a clever game called "brainbenders".

and if you can understand japanese, they have pokemon platinum

(I'm really familiar with the illegal download scene. hell, I've got every episode of doctor who to date XDDD)

you wouldnt be able to download and play this one illegally without the controller grip, but the Guitar Hero games for DS are actually quite good for a handheld version.

I am stuck on hard though for guitar hero on tour, on the song breed. it is way to hard to hard. I found the expert version to be slightly easier. but I am still enjoying it as I just play quickplay now, until I can master that song enough to clear it.
