Oh I loved this movie. Being a child of parents' who are foster parents. We see how these kids are, how they are so screwed up and need the help. The thing throughout the movie was right. The foster care system is screwed up. I love how Rosie explained what foster meant. Perhaps all these social workers and people who deal with these kids should watch this movie.
Is this on again? I missed it. My friend Charlie who is a member of this group but doesn't get to come here very often has five adopted kids from the foster care system. His sixth child is now 8 months old and the system is considering putting him back with his mother who has been drug addicted and abusive. The baby has siblings that were adopted by Charlie and Danny. Charlie and his family are just devastated about all this. This baby has lived with them since birth and he is in real danger of being taken away in two weeks. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. The courts did not even look at this woman's past abusive records. Its all just infuriating!
I watched it. It was a really thought provoking movie. Rosie should stick to acting. I think she was great. I'm sure, for those who missed it,it will probably be on,again. It's definitely worth watching.
I know exactly how you feel. A little girl and her brother went back to a mother who broke the kid's bones. the little girl had 18+ broken bones at three weeks old. They both are now with their mother and the father is in jail for the crime he didn't do. We're praying for them that they are safe.. Will keep ur peeps in our thoughts and prayers as well.
I'm not sure about this particular movie. But I can tell you form what I've seen it's true. this happens a lot here.
