Are you into pop punk at all, or looking exclusively for punk?

I don't know if this is the kind you're looking for, but Bratmobile is great, especially their song; Cool Schmool. Other good bands are Specimen and Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Siouxsie and The Banshees, Sex Pistols, Bad Religion, Green Day, Buzzcocks and Ramones are all great punk rock bands
    Enjoy

Try Relient K, though they're closer to punk pop.

Unsure if this is really punk rock but Sleater-Kinney are described as punk and as rock and they're brilliant. As are Bikini Kill. (Same scene as Bratmobile that someone above mentioned  ). I also love the Vaccines who I've seen described as punk rock but again, might not be what you want. Oh, and Patti Smith! Definitely Patti Smith!

maybe Jane's Addiction? They're more grunge though, but they're cool. A band called Fugazi is really punk. They have an acoustic album that's kind of trippy.

I forgot about Pearl Jam! They have a few punk songs.

Try Mind Your Manners and My Father's Son

Corin Tucker Band (possibly?), Heavens To Betsy, Skating Polly, Sleater-Kinney (favorite band), Tacocat, and Team Dresch (who exclusively makes LGBT-themed songs).
