DNCE is an up and coming pop rock band fronted by freaking Joe Jonas (who saw that coming?) climbing up the charts with their first hit "Cake by the Ocean" and their next hit "Toothbrush" which I'll be breaking down for you.

    CHORUS

"Baby you don't have to rush
    You can leave a toothbrush
    At my place
    At my place
We don't need to keep it hush
    You can leave a toothbrush
    At my place
    At my place"

Clearly he's into this chick. She's gonna leave the house without brushing her teeth but Joe reminds her to slow the hell down and brush them chompers. He also wants her to go out of the way to get another toothbrush, specifically to leave it at his house. What's he gonna do with it? Clean the bathroom?

    VERSE 1

    "Stuck in a limbo
    Half hypnotized
Each time I let you stay the night, stay the night
    Up in the morning
    Tangled in sheets
We play the moment on repeat, on repeat"

Come on guys, some of us are just trying to get through the show without you fucking rewinding every 10 seconds, Joe...

    PRECHORUS

"When you're standing there in your underwear
And my T-shirt from the night before
    With your messed up hair
    And your feet still bare
Would you mind closing the bedroom door (ah ooh)"

I see you've got a thing for feet, huh, Joe?

    CHORUS plus this other part
.."'Cause I just, I just can't let you go
Give me something I never know
So baby you don't have to rush
    You can leave a toothbrush
    At my place
    At my place"

Fuck it, I can't come up with anything for this one

    VERSE 2

"No need to question next time we meet
I know you're coming home with me, home with me
    Sweat like a sauna
    Break out the ice
I know you're gonna stay the night, stay the night"

The combination of that sweat and the melted ice is the reason Joe never gets his security deposit back. Insurance might cover flood damage but they won't cover that saltwater pool...

    FINAL PRECHORUS

"I don't want this to end
And there's no need to play pretend
If you stay with me again
Would you mind closing the bedroom door (ah ooh)"

Seriously, man? You can't even close your own door anymore? What are you gonna do next, make her make you a sandwich, fucking cis SCUM!

The rest is all stuff that's been repeated already.

MY OPINION: DNCE really gets you movin with that catchy chorus. I never thought a song about a toothbrush could have so much PIZZAZZ, 6.9/10

My actual opinion: I wasn't lying about the catchy chorus, the instruments fit the song well, the guitar work was pretty good especially for a pop song, and if I ever end up at Joe's place I'll leave my toothbrush and then sneak back in later to get it back, 8.5/10

Hopefully someone gets a kick out of this, if it's any good I can try and do more at some point
