I agree with one of the comments:

It's true and sad at the same time.

-It's a shame that for the "look in the contestant's life" clips they don't (want to) show same sex significant others.

-Straight pop stars has never prevented gays from having fantasies

Okay, so we have the lead singer of 'Savage Garden'. The entirety of 'Le Tigre'. And Lance Bass now. Those are the best well known ones I can come up with
Even then, the only truly well know one is Lance Bass... and that's after he was in the closet for years on end.

If we didn't have homophobia and if we had gay pop stars from the beginning, then they'd be just as appealing as the straight ones.

 

Clay Aiken? i dont know how much of a "pop star" he really is, and i don't listen to his music, but i know he's pretty famous.

 

Will Young, Sam Sparro, Jake Shears from scissor sisters. I couldn't care less to be honest...even if i were straight. I like music too much to stop listening just because i find out that person likes to have sex with pineapples!

i personally dont care if their straight or gay or what i dont like them goign on tv and getting all weepy eyed then they geet a record deal and relase a really pop'y kind of song that sound like crap and people like it even though its bad.

sorry about the mini rant its just these shows jsut annoy me, i remember in uk on pop idol years ago when will young came out that was a big backlash then load of rubbish really people still buy his songs allthough they all sound the same
