Any LGBTQ actors on the forum? Some roles I would love to play The Doctor: Doctor Who Fantine: Les Miserables Elphaba: Wicked A Disney princess (Specifically one that's within the LGBTQ community :icon_bigg) Otherwise I just want to act.
I've dabbled in acting. Auditioned for the role of Willy Wonka, but had to settle for the news anchor in my high school play. Not sure if I'm much good, but I'd love to be a star.
I'm told that I'm a really good actor, just I don't feel like I'd be up to do acting. Social anxiety being a problem, and my interest for it isn't really that high.
Definitely not me. But my sister, she's not on here, she's bisexual and a stage actor (and writer). She's very talented.
Oh!! Oh!!! Yes, actor is my planned career!! Acting is one of my passions and by god I want to get out there and pursue it as best I can!!
I like to consider myself a thespian considering how much time I've put into shows lol. I wrote my own one act play and had it produced at my school. I seem to play magical old ladies a lot though (I was Glinda the Good Witch one year, and then Cinderella's fairy godmother the next). My dream roles would have to be: Carrie - Carrie: The Musical Veronica - Heathers: The Musical Eponine - Les Mis Audrey - Little Shop of Horrors Sally Bowles - Cabaret (only because I want to sing "Mein Heirr" and actually play a sexy role, which would be new territory) Is it weird though that I'd also really like to play a fem version of Leo Bloom in The Producers?? I auditioned for it when the director said he was thinking of casting a girl (he didn't, he casted friends:dry, and ended up in the chorus for that show. The whole time I was thinking how cute it would be if Leo was actually a tomboyish girl and he and Ulla were a lesbian couple.:lol:
It was about a girl whose lamp gets stolen by a poltergeist. Her friend, a psychic, reveals all the ghosts that are living in the apartment, and it turns out they're all a bunch of annoying freeloaders. So she tries to talk it out and find out which of them took the lamp and if they can move out of her apartment. :icon_bigg
I am kind of interested in acting, and might try it when I'm older. Actually, in my shop we'll definitely do some acting for fake commercials and stuff (because we're a business shop). I don't really have dream roles because if I became an actor, I would want to do comedy shows.
Hello, triple threat actor here (quadruple if you count instrument playing as well). Seasoned stage actor (20+ productions), hoping to do some film in the future, but musical theatre is my true love. I would love to be (and feel I have the skill and looks to be): Mark Cohen from RENT Peter from Bare: A Pop Opera Sam from Allegiance Moritz from Spring Awakening As for my dream roles: Marius from Les Mis Fiyero from Wicked JD from Heathers
If I wasn't self conscious (and honestly a better singer), I'd love to do Enjolras from Les Miserables. If I was still pre-T, it would be neat to tackle Gavroche.
I'm too young for most professional auditions but I've done quite a few plays for classes before, despite being homeschooled. I'm actually a decent actor and I always end up playing (more-or-less) gender-neutral characters somehow despite stating that I don't care what gender I play. One time I played a man who was pretending to be a woman who was pretending to be a man. My dream roles would be... ANYTHING from The Nutcracker (had that dream since I was younger than 6 years old) Anything from any Shakespeare (I LOVE Shakespeare!) Yeah...I s'pose those aren't super specific. xD
If this is a thread for actors I'll just post my film up. "SAM" Centered around a soldier returning home from deployment to find his boyfriend diagnosed with Stage Three Leukemia. https://youtu.be/iMPwlNiNhcE
