Songs you love but would never admit (publicly) to loving.

Most people talk about the radio, and here I am listening to old or obscure game soundtracks. Some people will ask my favorite song, and I'll have no idea how to reply.

I wouldn't exactly start a conversation with: "Hey bro, ever listened to Wizards and Lizards?"

I have been teased mercilessly for liking a bunch of sleazy 90s R&B songs. I just think they're a little sexy and good fun.

 

I have a few guilty pleasures in my playlist! Generally, they're corny pop songs (see: "Gambling Man" by The Overtones as an example - it's so, so cheesy but I love that song).

 

I absolutely hate Meghan Trainor but I do secretly like her song, NO but maybe because it contradicts with whatever she's singing and that's what makes it beautiful tbh.

 

There are some german songs I like, but I always say that I HATE german music (which is mostly true). I can't admit that some of them are actually good.

 

The entire Home Alone 3 soundtrack

 

I'd say Ke$ha, but I usually can admit to that guilt-free...

Maybe Rob Zombie? I'm always embarrassed to mention him. XD The Beatles slightly only because people think I'm a hipster when I mention them, despite them being the very first band I ever liked... Evanescence definitely. They're just the sort of "face" of emo-esque music, if you can find a face for that genre. XD Then there's a few Linkin Park songs... Oh, and "My Band" by D12... That is so cringe-worthy but it's pretty much the only song from that genre I really enjoy.

 

Some pop stuff. I don't think ever admit to liking Shania Twain, or singers like Passenger :lol:

 

Basically anything my little sister listens to.

Mainstream pop on the radio recently.

Edit: Not that I hate all mainstream pop. Just a lot of it.

 

The new Weezer album. It's a nice mix of rock and pop music, and while it isn't amazing, I like to have some pop stuff mixed in with what I usually listen to

 

Most nightcore songs... I don't know why but I love them so much. >u>; To family/most rl friends, I would definitely hide all my deathcore too.

I will never admit, EVER, to anyone irl, that I binge-listen to Hannah Montana songs.

 

Oh my god, I actually listen to nightcore remixes of songs that I like sometimes. Let me just say, "Semi Automatic" by Twenty One Pliots sounds really good as a nightcore. I'd never admit to listening to them in public, though.

Also there's this one vocaloid called "Orange" that I really like. And you know how sometimes Youtubers or whatever sometimes make songs for games? Some of them are actually really good. I didn't play FNAF past the third game and I never got involved in the fanbase (because 80% of them are furries), but somehow I came across "Break My Mind" on Youtube - no idea how - and that is my jam, along with a couple of others.
If you asked me in public, though, I'd never admit to it.

 

Probably "Hello Kitty" by Avril Lavigne. lol I come off as a "metalhead" to people, so when they hear I find that song catchy, it's weird.

 

Taylor Swift's "22." Just too frigging cute to ignore.

I'm really open with my musical interests, id admit to liking anything if I like it.
