What sort of time period do you mean when you say "older"? These are the rock legends in my opinion, and my favourite songs by them.

The Kinks - All Day and All of the Night, You Really Got Me, Lola
MC5 - Looking At You, Kick Out the Jams
David Bowie - Rebel Rebel, Boys Keep Swinging, Let's Dance
Elvis Presley - Suspicious Minds, Marie's the Name (His Latest Flame)
Buddy Holly - Rave On, That'll Be The Day
Bill Haley and His Comets - Rock Around the Clock
    The Rolling Stones - She's a Rainbow
Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild, Draft Resister
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising, Fortunate Son

Most of these are pretty obvious actually.

it depends what you count as "Old"
Is past the 00s? Before the 80s?

Because if you want an adctive recommendation, id recommend Blur, you can never get enough :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

But a few other artists id recommend as well, are fairly obvious ones, Pink Floyds "The Wall" and "The Dark Side of The Moon" are classic albums, The Kinks, would recommend "The Kinks are the Village Green" and "Face to Face", All of the Beatles Albums, youd be absoutley insane if you haven't given them all a listen once.

(and well if your interested in getting some new stuff as well, feel free to ask, because I have so much I could recommend that's awesome, especially psychedelic rock, or British indie rock, I know a lot about that ehehe)

    Queensryche - Silent Lucidity
Skid Row - 18 and Life
    Ratt - Round and Round

And a Canadian gem that no one in the States seems to know about:
    Kim Mitchell - World's Such a Wonder

The older rock bands that I was introduced to by older siblings were:

Free - There was this album called "Free:Live" which I eventually got on CD format. One of their biggest songs were "All Right Now". I love this whole CD...one of the best live recordings out there.

Led Zepplin - Love them...anything from their catalog. Led Zepplin III, IV, Houses on the Holy, Physical Graffiti are some of my all time favorites by this group.

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon...one of my all time favorites

Three Dog Night...anything from their catalog...their harmonies were outstanding...very soulful group...had a lot of hits...try the Greatest Hits CD just to get a taste of their music.

Band of Gypsies/Jimi Hendrix Experience...the Band of Gypsies CD, Jimi Hendrix Experience: Are You Experience? Greatest Hits.

AC/DC - my favorite CD by them ....Back In Black

The Rolling Stones - they have a huge catalog of music ...but I have the CDs:
Sticky Fingers, Black and Blue, Some Girls and Greatest Hits in my collection which I really like..but that's me...they are legendary to this day.
