It's been a few years since I really listened to Christmas music around the holidays, but I want to start back now. Does anyone have recommendations?
Hmmmmm I would recommend dominic the donkey. Love this classic song on the radio around Christmas time. I would also recommend Once apon a long ago by Paul Mcartney . It is one of those songs I listen off Christmas and never get tired of it :3
I also have not listened to Christmas music since the passing of my partner because he loved Christmas music. I have a large amount of Christmas music from various artists but if I were to recommend anything ...it would be from a nice, soft, jazzy angle such as; Kenny Loggins Christmas CD. I love Kenny's music and his voice and his Christmas CD is very nice especially if you are fan of his. I also like the jazz group Fourplay and jazz vocalist Will Downing Christmas CDs as well because they too are very nice. However, for a more festive, jubilant mood...I would play Quincy Jones' Handel Messiah: A Soulful Christmas which is an amazing re-take on Handel's inspired work. It's such an effective collaboration of hot musicians doing impressive interpretations of this Classical piece with a soulful sound. I also loved Stephanie Mills Christmas CD and Anita Baker Christmas CD, of course Luther Vandross which are all are my all time favorites and the jazz acapella group Take 6 which is before the Pentatonix phase came along. Just some of my favorites Christmas CDs off the top of my head if you want to check them out.
Carol of the bells from Libera Official, very beautiful! and I always like: Go tell it on the mountain or: The first Noel But I have so many christmas song CDs, it's crazy. But this is actually ma favourite time. The music is amazing ^^
My favourite Christmas album is Ella Fitzgerald's Christmas Album but that's because i'm obsessed with Jazz. But if you like Jazz definitely check it out
