Hi everyone I am new to the forum. I am really grateful to have a safe place for discussions. I am in my early 30's from Australia. I am wondering whether anyone is interested in having an informal online/ skype book club to discuss some of the books with LGBT theme. I recently started reading Maurice by E.M. Foster. Hi oboiaus and welcome to EC! :welcome: I don't have Skype myself but I think the idea of a bookclub thread on EC is great! I studied Maurice at A Level and it's one of my favourite books ever, what do you think of it so far? The film of the book is also excellent and available on YouTube.
I think this is a great idea! I don't have Skype either but I'm sure we could have discussions here on EC Hopefully more are interested.
Just a reminder: Off-site contact is not permitted, so nothing over Skype would be allowed, unless it was privately arranged via PM among full members. There have been efforts in the past to do book clubs here at EC. It's an awesome idea as long as it's done within the rules of our CoC and without off-site contact.
I've just started reading loads of LGBT literature, so I'd love to see a book club here. I'll have to read Maurice - one more to add to the pile :lol:
