Which one do you prefer more?

Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac OSX, or Ubuntu Linux?

I prefer Mac for photo editing.

I prefer Windows Vista for everything else.

For me, Ubuntu is great for internet.

Ubuntu for graphics with Adobe PhotoShop CS3 with Wine.
    Ubuntu for internet.
Windows Vista for word processing, just because Office 2007 won't run with Wine on Ubuntu. Poo Poo....

    Mac > Linux > Windows.

I'm a very happy Mac user - I use it for all my college work (final year Comp Sci). I have an old machine running Ubuntu at home too, which gets used as a download box.

I haven't used a PC running Winblows since I quit my last job, 10 months ago - and I haven't used a Windows machine as my primary one in about 5 years.

I'm an ignorant when it comes to computers, but I have the impression that Linux is faster and has less bugs than Windows. I haven't used Mac, though.

I have a PC running XP, which randomly turns off but is other than that, ok, stability wise and it runs everything.
I also have a laptop running Vista, which doesn't like to do anything, especially USB port wise. It crashes EVERY time I try to open my USB in anything. I HATE THAT COMPUTER!
We use Macs a lot at school and the next computer I want is a mac. When I go to uni, I want a Macbook.

    :eusa_doh:

OpenOffice not to your taste then? Just because you're running Ubuntu, doesn't mean you have to use everything under WINE... :eusa_eh:

yeah vista lovers, you do realise even microshite dislike vista? that's how bad it is

but it's all part of a conspiracy... ubuntu's gunna have to work real hard on version 9.10 :S

and openoffice, although good, actually doesn't come close to microshaft's office 07. However, micro$oft's openxml format lost to the standard one :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

just reread that and can't be bothered to edit it so sorry if it made no sense

    it's late

Vista is a GEM for me.

It works perfecting, and i do ALOT of graphic design, video editing, 3d animation, 2d animation, sound editing, programming, webstie design, high end gaming, and the list goes on...and on....and on...

I work vista harder than most people, and it still does not buckle. It works so well for me, i love love love it <3 I know thats not the case for everyone, maybe more people need to get vista inside a high end Toshiba...

I have Vista, but I still prefer XP, and I don't think I could ever get used to another OS. With Vista, I'm having more problems recognizing devices and transferring files to devices and establishing printer connections and installing programs and bypassing filters than I ever did with XP. At least FireFox still works.

I generally prefer Windows XP, but all operating systems have their benefits, and all of them have things that drive me nuts, and make me want to throw my computer out the window and give up computers entirely.

Half the things that drive me nuts is the same between all operating systems. eg: handling of flashdrives, unnecessary dialogs.

Linux is good for servers, Mac somewhat for creative arts.

All my computers runs Windows XP. Most of them are far below the minimum requirements of Vista. My laptop came with Vista, but I downgraded to XP. I'm thinking of reinstalling Vista, but with SP2 around the corner I might wait and pick up a slipstreamed DVD.
