Unlike asking about operating systems, I think this is a fairly safe question. How many monitors do you have at your primary computer workstation? This includes an aggregate of multiple computers.

I currently have 3. I have one for my old desktop, my laptop, and a secondary monitor on the laptop. To use one keyboard / share clipboard between machines I use Synergy:
http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/ Alternatively if you want to use a crappy computer as an external monitor for another computer, you can use Zonescreen: http://www.zoneos.com/zonescreen.htm

I generally use my desktop for boring tasks like downloading, burning DVDs, and playing movies while I use my laptop + secondary monitor for everything else. After getting used to multiple monitors I have a hard time using just one. For example if I'm referring to a help file while programming I can have the help file in one screen, and the editor on the other. Or a PDF in one screen and word processor in the other. Or have IM on the secondary screen while surfing on the main screen. Saves a lot of flipping back and forth. Photo editing people like it because you can throw your toolbars on the secondary monitor.

Sometimes I have my Eee running attached by Synergy, but I don't count it. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I also have a hard time going from 3 monitors to the 7" Eee monitor.

Just one, this laptop and the little wooden desk it sits on. We have more computers in the house, but two of them almost never get used and the other is identical to mine, but on the other side of the house.

I can route my computer to my T.V. and run both of them at the same time. So, I kinda have two. Mostly I just watch youtube and other movies from my PC on my tv.

Also, my phone can act like a mouse/keyboard so I can be extremely lazy and browse the internet from my bed

I have 2 desktops (although one is a compaq, so that barely works). Although i use my good computer on the big screen, so might aswell say 3.

Just my laptop. My mom and sister have their shared laptop, and my mom's boyfriend has his. The only time I really need two computers at the same time is if I'm trying to send my photos to my computer, and with me buying a USB/SD card thing, I no longer have any need.

LOL, i just read the poll properly, so its def 3, since both desktops are next to eachother, and the TV is in a prime spot to watch

Um... Funny story... I went to Walmart... orgasmed over the beautiful 52 full high def tv... gasped at the 2k price tag. (I rounded tax in on it and it was 2 or 2.1)

Depressed and defeated I walked away... only to notice the same TV I just had my eye on... only this one was lonely... on the bottom shelf... I asked a man why this TV was so lonely... and not raised up high? He said they accidentally made 2 displays and when they make a display they destroy the box... thus they have to mark it on clearance...

Feeling terribly sorry for the TV I decided it was mine... 1.5k later.... I have it. (This includes a 2 year warranty if ANYTHING goes wrong.)

So that is the story of my new TV/Computer monitor. When my rooms are rearranged it will serve as PS3 screen and comp monitor.

p.s. if they can accidentally make 2 displays, I can accidentally buy it! That thing is a mammoth... how do you forget you opened one?
