Hey Britney fans -- what's your favorite song of hers? I love so many of her songs, but I think "Overprotected" is probably my favorite.

My favourite is Radar; it's a shame it flopped so badly.

Make Me..., Born To Make You Happy, Baby, He About To Lose Me, Lucky, Gimmie More and Till The World Ends are my tops.

I agree eMei, Radar is really underrated. Toxic is great too. I've heard a lot of people cover Toxic but no one can nail it quite like Britney lol.

Yes Overprotected! I also like Womanizer. I'm not really a fan, but I used to be back in 2000. I remember Mcdonalds sold an *NSYNC/Britney Spears Your #1 Video Requests... And More! VHS  and I begged my mom to buy it for me. She did. I think I still have it somewhere...

I would have to say mine would have to be 'I Wanna Go'.

It was frequently on my running playlist, back in 2011-2012 when I was training for my first marathon.
Played more times than I care to disclose.

You are so right Daughtry...I have heard some artists cover of this song and I have to agree with you that no one has done this song justice but Britney. The original version is the best by far.(!)(!):eusa_clap

    Agreed, JonSomebody.

And sss, I forgot about Everytime! That's actually my favorite Britney song now that I think about it. It's such a beautiful ballad. I hate how some people say Britney is just a puppet with no talent because she wrote that song herself and it's a masterpiece, in my opinion. It's also tragic how the music video for the song basically foreshadows her breakdown in 2007.

Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know and From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart.

So, apparently, all the super long titled ones. I can't not belt out either without extreme emotion when they come on.

Would you recommend Britney Spears to someone who basically missed out on her music completely?

How does she compare to say pop music like Lady Gaga or Kesha?

@luke564: Um yes! Haha. I mean, Britney isn't the greatest technical singer, but there is a certain magic to the way she approaches her songs that no other artist can really capture. Same goes for her music videos.

Gaga is a better singer than Britney, but their styles are really different and difficult to compare to one another. Kesha is similar to Britney, but trashier haha. Even though Britney's music can be pretty risque, she has this princess quality that makes it somehow seem elegant haha, if that makes sense.

Hey that was a quick reply

Thanks, I guess what your saying makes sense - it's a weird question for me to ask I guess but I'm kinda new to pop music I guess (listened to it properly for the first time just around the time I joined empty closets) - I don't know if I would ever seriously listen to these artists - it feels kinda strange I suppose but there's part of me that's become more curious.

Haha yeah, I mean if you're looking for a pop artist with some serious vocal chops, you should check out Kelly Clarkson. There's a lot of diversity in the albums she's made over the years. Breakaway is my favorite album of hers and it has a bunch of her big hits. But another album of hers, My December, has a rocker, grunge vibe that's really cool even though it didn't make much impact on radio stations.

Ok, that's pretty interesting I hadn't heard of her at all.
