So I've noticed that I have a habit of listening to a certain song depending on how I feel that day. Like lately when I go to the gym I always listen to "Dangerous" by Big Data for when I need motivation on the treadmill. Does anyone have any "go-to" songs for when they need inspiration/comfort etc?

I always listen to "hit me hard" by Noisuf-X while boxing xD and I love listen to Psyclon Nine or Goethes Erben when going to sleep, in some way it's calming. But mostly it helps to listen to Lord of the Lost (any song) cause it always lifts my mood. Also I use to listen to Aesthetic Perfection (mostly Inhuman, also Antibody and Never Enough) when I fear an ED-relapse. I know they're not about ED at all but it still helps

Always when I'm running and I have my earphones, I listen to something from Skillet, usually "Feel Invicible" or "Back From The Dead"

In all honesty...I have a lot of go-to songs but it depends upon what my mood of the moment or day may be. Most recently though, my go-to song has been Maxwell's "Somethin' Somethin'. The funky version..not the slow, bedroom version which I love as well. However, the funky version makes me feel good and I begin to dance.

If I want to fall asleep quickly I listen to LeATHERMØUTH's album XØ which is only 25 minutes long. Half way through always I nod off - without fail. However I wouldn't suggest it to other people to fall asleep to as it's a hardcore punk album which is mainly just Frank Iero screaming about murder. I find it very calming.

I always end up thinking about the soundtrack to the film Amelie when I coo. Particularly "Soir de fete". So consider yourself vindicated by my weird ass taste in music.

Literally how. 90% of that is Frank screaming- if I listened to that trying to fall asleep I'd probably wake up with a concussion and the heartbeat of a squirrel.

I'd actually only ever heard the slow bedroom version so I'll have to check out the funky version some time. I thought the guy only had a voice for make-out songs so I'm hoping you can prove me wrong ahaha

I have both on my gym playlist ahaha

"Hit me Hard" makes me feel like I'm going to murdered in the back of a nightclub...It's going on the gym playlist

I never quite got into London Grammar... I'll have to give them another try sometime- I'm pretty sure I can barely name any of their songs so that warrants another try :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Haha...well...get ready to be proven wrong because this song is FUNKY!!! In fact, I just saw him recently in concert and he performed this version and had the whole auditorium dancing in the aisles. Also, he also have several other funky songs in his music catalog. This one is from his very first debut CD. So, yeah..when you get a chance...youtube it and check it out...(!)(!)(!) JS:thumbsup:

Ed Sheeran. But you didn't pick a song, I hear you say. Because one does not simply pick an Ed Sheeran song.

Although, if I had to pick a song from his new album right now, I would pick Dive. It's just yes.

(Side note: it took me ages to write two lines about Ed Sheeran because I was singing along to Michael Bublé's I Believe in You. That's a nice song to pick you up when you need a hug, but don't like people touching you.)

When I want to fall asleep but not listen to classical music or anything, I go to any song by Oh Wonder. If I just so happen to be feeling really "angsty" I tend to listen to songs like "Face Down" by RJA. Usually though I just hit shuffle on my insanely long playlist and any song from there can fit any of my moods.

My exercise playlist consists of Eurobeat songs and Hardcore Techno songs

Recently I've been relaxing to the Torn Cold Void album by Lathspell. Plus some music that I never seem to get sick of is the Monument album by Cor Scorpii

Lately mine has been "The Witch of the Westmoreland" performed by Stan Rogers. All kinds of feels from an artist of stunning talent. Such a shame he died young.

I have no idea - it just works. I think it started because I couldn't understand a word he said but I now know and can tell what he's screaming most of the time it doesn't work quite as well. However I still start drifting off part way through. In all fairness I'm a strange child.
