Just finished Dustin Lance Black's "When We Rise" All the feels. As someone just coming out, I loved learning more about the last few decades of LGBT history and some of the leaders and heroes in the community as they fought for equality. What were your thoughts on it?
I feel the exact same way! I'm just coming out, too. I liked it a lot, but I wish they hadn't portrayed the stereotype of promiscuity so much. (As a bi person, that particular bias plagues me more than I'd like.) but overall, it was an awesome show! (And in my personal extremely queer opinion, the actress playing Young Roma was hot as HELL.)
