They can be LGBT themed but they don't necessarily have to be

DCs Legends of Tomorrow, Penny Dreadful, Wayward Pines, The Strain, Helix, The Magicians

I would recommend the I Am Number 4 series of books by Pittacus Lore. I haven't finished them yet but they are good. And also the Hunger series of books by Michael Grant....twisted in places but awesome.

Woohoo! You're the only person I've come across that's read those books.

I also like the Mortal Instruments and associated books.

I liked The Mortal Instruments too! I've only read the first five so far though.

I read the first two a while back. I'm pretty sure I have 3, 4 and 5. I want to be sure before getting the 6th and reading them all. However I recently read Lady Midnight which I enjoyed and managed to pick up the Infernal Devices books a couple of days ago.

Do you have any recommendations for me?

Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series of books I thought were amazing. Actually all of Sanderson's books are great! Would definitely recommend.

Wynonna Earp is a sci-fi (and western) TV show that has a lesbian couple in it. it's really good and it has some of the best humour I have seen in a long time.

The 100 is another awesome TV show in the same genre. There is LGBT couples, mainly in the later seasons though. It's my favourite show at the moment, so I highly recommend it ^^

Thanks for all your recommendations! I've recently started reading the Robin Hobb books, they're really good. I'm about 100 pages into Ship of Magic. I will have to check out some of the authors though!

Robin Hobb is the author that got me excited about the fantasy genre!
She is probably my favourite author.
