I used to be a big reader but simply, school work has prevented me. I want to read again. And I love book series. I don't have a specific liking of a genre but I know I hate horror books. I guess utopian societies interest me the most. Some things I've read: Percy Jackson Series- Rick Riordan Kane Chronicles- " " " Hunger Games- Suzanne Collins Divergent- Verinica Roth The Bone Season- Samantha Shannon (HIGHLY RECOMMEND)she is also making a 7 book series. She is currently working on the third one? Unwind series- Neal Shusterman Swindle/Zoobreak/Framed-Gordan Korman 10,000 Leagues Under the Sea- Jules Verne
Gone series of books by Michael Grant I am number 4 series of books by Pittacus Lore The Vampire Diaries - so much better than the tv series Would you recommend the Percy Jackson Books? I made a thread about them earlier
The Inheritance Cycle (Eragon etc) by Christopher Paolini... read the first three when I was younger, absolutely adored them. Give them a read.
These are the best fiction books i've read. A "must read" for anyone who loves magic, warriors and pure epicness. Much better than the movie.
Anything in the Ender's Game universe. I've loved them all -- the main series, the shadow series, and the first/second formic wars series.
Raymond E. Feist's Riftwar cycle. It's split into several sub-series: The Riftwar saga The empire saga The serpentwar saga The darkwar saga The Riftwar Legacy The Conclave of Shadows The Demonwar saga The chaoswar saga Krondor's Sons Legends of the Riftwar Jimmy and the Crawler (standalone) Midkemia: Chronicles of Pug (standalone) Note that those are not in order. All together, It's a total of around 31 or 32 books, depending on how you count the first one, as it was released in two parts. I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. I have only the chaoswar saga and the standalones left to read. It's great. A little daunting, but great
The "Red Queen" series by Victoria Aveyard. I've read the first two books and planning on reading the third as soon as I can find it. They are excellent books, highly recommend checking them out
It may seem a little mainstream, but I would recommend the Harry Potter series by J K Rowling. Not because it's the only series I've actually finished, but because of the additional detail and stories that just aren't in the movies. That is a real shame because the movies missed out some nice parts from the book. (But that's just my opinion) The books also let you imagine the settings and characters in your own way. BTW if you watch the final scene of 'The Philosopher's Stone' you can see that the actors are wearing different makeup than in the rest of the movie, which makes them look the way they were described in the book.
