    So, I'm looking for a good Voice Activated Typing program. Anyone have any recomendations????

    like speech recognition programs? I think Vista comes with something like that...yeah, under 'text to speech' in the control panel. Just plain around with that. Or I think Dragon Naturally Speaking is supposed to be the best one out there but it's not free.

    not sure if either can open the program itself by voice command though :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    Speech recognition / dictation software? What operating system?

    Windows Vista and IIRC Office 2003 includes dictation capability

    Dragon Dictate is a popular third party program.

    I'm still running Windows XP. I need a voice to text program.

    I tried a few, and found that it is a total waste of time even when you spend 3-4 weeks training your program to recognize your voice. It is still easier, and more accurate just to type. If you have a average/above average WPM, you can work alot faster then a voice recognition program can keep up anyways.
