It's the lamest joke in the world, but whenever I see someone with WtP on their shirt (or hat), I say "Um...it looks like you got a little Pooh on you..."

Oh, and I blame When We Were Very Young and Now We Are Six for inspiring me to write bad poems. Maybe I should have written them off as "hums".

I loved Winnie the Pooh growing up.

Interesting little factoid (at least for me that is). A.A. Milne named Winnie-the-Pooh after his son's teddy bear. His son, Christopher named his teddy bear after a bear he saw at the London Zoo. The bear was given to the Zoo by Canadian Lt. Harry Colebourne and who had purchased it from a hunter and named it Winnie after his hometown in Winnipeg.

Living in Winnipeg can be dull sometimes but this little tidbit always makes me happy.

That's Harry Colebourne and Winnie, a statue of Colebourne and Winnie at the Assinaboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg and a picture of Christopher Milne and Winnie. (respectively)

    >>>and Christopher Robin was so a gay guy.

CR never struck me as gay in the slightest. He was just a little kid, doing that whole innocent kid thing. Wearing your hair in that weird bob. Doing voices for your stuffed animals, making up silly songs, playing "soldier" and "cook" interchangeably, and noticing that the landing on the stairway is like a world unto itself. "Gay" is pretty much a foreign concept there.
