Did anyone else watch it?

I had a great time last night watching the finals, although I was really going for either Armenia or Turkey to win. I will admit that Alexander Rybak (Hottie, BTW) with Norway did an amazing job.

    Anyways, the top 5.

    1. Norway, the winner of this year's contest, Alexander Rybak with "Fairytale".

    2. Iceland - "Is it True?"

    3. Azerbaijan - "Always"

    4. Turkey - Dum Tek Tek

    5. United Kingdom - "My Time"

    And... my favorite.

    Armenia - "Jan Jan"

I can't be the only one who watched this, so what did everyone think of this years contest?

I wanted Norway to win, Alexander was a bit of a hottie (he doesn't look 23, does he?) and he was playing the violin which for me, for some strange reason, just makes him super sexy.

It was much better than last years contest ... fewer weird entries. Weird can be entertaining but not the level of weirdness we saw last year...

Did you notice the hosts faces when the girl from serbia, just before she gave the results, said that everyone was still talking about last years contest and how good it was?

That Norwegian guy is SOO cute.

and I found France's entry and thought it wasn't that bad either.

I didn't watch the actual contest, though.

I watched it at a friend's house last night.

Firstly, I was HORRIBLY disappointed at the lack of metal in Finland's entry.

I think the winning song is absolutely horrendous, tbh. I thought Greece's song was a lot of fun, very Ricky Martin-ish. The youtube comments arguing "NOT GAY, NOT GAY, NOT GAY" are hilarious too...

I liked the UK entry too, if a little over-dramatic and VERY Andrew Lloyd Webber  Also, Jade Ewen is cute...

Yeah, I don't know what Finland put on with that 'rap', but with Teräsbetoni in 2008 and with Lordi sweeping it in 2006, they sure didn't seem to put much effort into it.

First of all what an awesome show it was! Russia did a great job with that.I would rather have seen Estonia or Bosnia & Herzegovina or Russia winning. But Norway´s performance was great. Concerning Sweden: Why does Sweden always screw up in the final (exception 2008)? This year´s song was much better in the Swedish final. She wasn´t as 'overloaded' and her voice didn´t sound like, hmm I don´t know not crap but it was like she had something stuck in her throat. I´m happy for Norway though. It´s not far away so maybe I can go see the final next year. :icon_bigg

oh eurovision! It wasnt the same without terry wogan though...as much as I love graham norton. I cant believe how well the UK did! That was definitely not expected....obviously the whole Iraq issue has been swept under the carpet.

Actually they have in 1982 with "Ein Bißchen Frieden" sung by Nicole.

I expected Malta to do a lot better, given Chiara's track record at Eurovision.

I'm surprised it took all the way down to post 11 for someone to mention the Ukranian entry...

I kinda wanted it to win just so I could see the dancers a second time!

    Okay, I so love this

    Why didn't Germany win?
Not to mention, the singer is soooooooo cute and sooooooooo my type. I'll be his Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang

But I don't think Turkey should've placed in the top 5
The singer wasn't the greatest which upset me

Meh, Hatise was kinda hot. Which means she deserves *some* points under both the Rules Of Eurovision and Rules Of Apocalypte.
