Well, apparently Futurama has just been renewed for a new season of 26 episodes to begin airing in mid 2010, and this time, they're NOT just DVD movies split into episodes!

Normally I'd quote the article, but it's pretty big ._. I'm glad they got the 3 main cast voice actors back, hopefully they got the others too, they did say almost all the cast was back, so that's good.

Anyone else excited? I was happy they were making the movies into episodes, but didn't actually think anything else would happen :O

Hurray! I was happy when Comedy Central aired it. I recorded the episodes but got bored since I realized I've seen every episode, so this is great news! I love this show.(*hug*)

Awesome  I love Futurama, and shamefully enough I haven't seen all of the direct to DVD movies, I caught a couple eps, but I didn't see the rest.

    Must... Youtube....

That's pretty sweet indeed! Let's hope they can keep the quality as good as that of the first seasons and we'll be set for years of awesomeness!

This was always SUCH a better show than simpsons, family guy, american dad, ect.

I found the satire to be DRIPPING from every line, much better than those other shows. I love me some satire.

Only problem is i have to wait so long :frowning2: sigh

    Futurama > Simpsons

    <3

When I read about this I squeled.

Seriously, Futurama is much better than Family Guy and the like. Yes, Family Guy, American Dad, etc are funny, but Futurama is much better to watch in my opinion.

I only saw one of them... 2 hours of the same storyline kinda makes me bored, at least of TV shows :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Movies I can stand as that's normally the last we'll see of em, but TV show movies tend to bore me, some I can stand though. Like the Bender + Dungeons/Dragons one... lol

Futurama is the most relatable and clever- Family Guy is HILARIOUS but WAYYY low brow humor and over the top often. American Dad is Family Guy part 2. The Simpsons are just classic and relatable but SADLY becoming outdated.

I loved The Simpsons in its prime. That's just gone on way too long IMO.
