This was the wrong thread to post buddy :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I could go on for hours and hours and hours xD

If you take a look at my blog, I have a blog in there detailing 98% of the DVDs I own, which you should watch. All of them.

Films I don't own that you must watch:
    Apocalypse Now
    Eraserhead
    The Big Lebowski
    Almost Famous
    Pan's Labyrinth
    City of God
    Life is Beautiful
Dazed and Confused (technically I own it but it is currently in someone else's hands -_-)
    Schindler's List

I'll continue at another time

If there are 5 films that Every person in the world MUST watch.
This would be them. In my opinion of course, which Dylan, btw , isn't allowed to have :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    1. American History X
    2. Apocalypse Now
    3. Schindler's List
    4. Requiem For a Dream
    5. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Why these films? Not only because they are amazing pieces of cinematographic art, but because they have a really deep meaning in all of them. Especially American History X.

Oo, and a fun one to see is Boondock Saints =D

    EDIT: HERES MORE:
    Se7en
    Fight Club
    The Game
    Panic Room
The Godfather Pt 1 and 2
    Alien
    Aliens
    Alien 3
Alien Resurrection (for shits and giggles)
    Predator
    Predator 2

I should've put Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as its my 3rd favourite film. But it is tied with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas also. But both of those I semi-mentioned as i both have them on DVD

If you wanna go toward the more fucked up good movies then this:

Irreversible (French Film, Very amazing though)
    Jacob's Ladder
    The Devil's Rejects
House of 1000 Corpses (more of a cult film really =P)

Even though its on my DVD list, Make sure you watch the film The Warriors. Its totally badass. <3

Gee, Joey, one might actually get the impression you like movies

OK, some of my very-old-but-amazing favorites:

Inherit the Wind (Very timely now, with the discussions of religion vs. gay marriage, but made in 1962)

Silver Thread (also ~1964, gripping character drama about a woman who has taken pills to commit suicide and the suicide crisis line volunteer who talks to her)

Harold and Maude (1969) You really have to see it. A 20 year old falls in love with an 80 year old at a funeral for someone that neither of them knew. Very life-affirming.

I'll post some newer ones later.

The Thing is on my DVD Blog :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    And Spinal Tap is amazing.

    As for Comedies:
Mel Brooks films (Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, The Producers, Spaceballs, etc)
    Wayne's World
    Wayne's World 2
Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood
    Pineapple Express
    Grandma's Boy
    Animal House
    The Jerk
    many many more

Don't be A Menace reminded me about Hood movies, some of which are VERY good.

    Boyz in Da Hood
    Clockers
    Menace II Society
    New Jack City

Which brings me into straight up Crime/Jail films:

American Me (A Must watch for basically everyone, but especially Edward James Olmos fans, and BSG fans )
    Scarface
The Godfather (as i mentioned earlier)
    Goodfellas
    Casino
    A Bronx Tale
American Gangster (Just for that one Diner scene almost an hour in to the film )
    Dog Day Afternoon

    Crazy Asian films:

    Ichi The Killer
    Oldboy
    Machine Girl
SOME of the originals to the horrid American horror remakes.
    Battle Royalle
Audition (Any Takeshi Miike Film really)
Takeshi Kitano films ( Violent Cop, Fireworks [Hana-Bi])
    Happy Together
    Seven Samurai
    Any Zaitoichi Film
    Foreign made Jackie Chan films
    Hardboiled
    John Woo films

    xD I'm embarassing myself lol

    OO and Classics:

    Gone with the Wind
    Casablanca
    12 Angry Men
    Guys and Dolls
Reefer Madness (the original, although the new one is supposed to be good)
ANY Alfred Hitchcock (Vertigo, Rear Window, North by Northwest, Psycho, Rebecca, the list goes on and on, he's amazing.)
