Just to preface this, I myself am not ashamed of any of the music I own, but to others it'd be considered "Guilty Pleasures"

What are some of your favourite bands/artists that you have on Itunes or whatever, that you know all the lyrics to, and that you hate yourself for owning/knowing?

    Here are some of mine:

Christian/Inspirational Music in general (xD this is all because of 4 years of Catholic High School, some of the songs are REALLY catchy)
    Akon
A lot of bad 90s one hit wonders such as Never Ever by All Saints
90s Boy Bands (Such as Backstreet Boys and BBMack xD)
    Boys Like Girls
    Creed
    Disney Film Soundtracks (like Mulan)
Love songs for 40 year old divorced women (like Faith Hill and shit)
Shitty contemporary Rap (like Low by Flo Rida and Fat Joe)

I have more but I can't think of any at the moment

    What are some of yours?

    The Ting Tings
    U2
    Uncle Kracker
    Cake :/
    Celine Dion...lol
    Crash Test Dummies
    Patsy Cline

I know there's more, but those are the most embarrassing I think.

Personally, I'd consider listening to Britney to be really embarrassing, but I suspect that I'll probably get flamed for saying that

I agree with Joey that there are a few really catchy Christian tunes. One that I really like is "We Live, We Love" by Superchick. They aren't blatantly Christian, but are Christian influenced, and the message of that song is simply amazing... and in spite of that, I still get razzed by some of my more militant gay friends.

Two completely different songs but Miley Cyrus' and t.A.T.u's Fly On The Wall are the ULTIMATE guilty pleasures. The Veronicas - Untouched, Beyoncé - Single Ladies, Dragonette - Fixin To Thrill, Amy Studt - Nice Boys and anything by Lights to name a few. Lights is the only artist that i actually love, the rest are have just the odd guilty pleasure song.

Oh and Boy Crisis, they're all male but if someone heard me listening to them it'd practically out me

Also, Gwen Stefani. And I hate that I enjoy t.A.T.u. because of the whole "just doing it for the attention, not actually lesbians" thing. >:|

And I like Vitas even though my attitude towards him is what the hell, Vitas? Is his career just one long performance piece? Seriously, what?

I am also really proud of everything I listen, and most music I have is like in my computer and are some single songs.

The [considered] most shameful would be:
    50 Cent
    Eminem.

Other stuff I listen goes from Opera to like Madonna, but I'm not ashamed of that, at ALL. The stuff I enjoy the most is Muse and that kind of stuff u_u

Eric Clapton - it doesn't matter what people say about him, that he's uncool, can't play whatever ... I get something from his music that nothing else gives me whatsoever.

Well -given that I'm twice as old as most of you (or more - ouch) the only stuff that YOU would probably find embarrassing is some of he old stuff that I really like.

Most of the stuff I like now tends to be current Indie (TripleJ anyone?) but I lived with a band in the late 70's, early 80's (acting unpaid roadie) so my tastes go back that far (and further).

Some of the classic bands from those days I still like - tho' a lot of them are Aussie, so may not be known in EU/US.

    To mention a few names...
B52's, Devo, Blondie/Debbie Harry, Split Enz/Crowded House (Neil Finn is a genius), The Angels, Midnight Oil (Peter Garrett is my MP, LOL), Yazoo, Annie Lennox/Eurythmics, Cyndi Lauper (forget Madonna, she's an overhyped cow)...and many more.

I could go back a lot further - but that would make me seem just TOO old (Meh - I am)...
