So has anyone else seen Brüno yet?

I thought it was bloody hilarious myself, even though I saw it in German, so I missed half the dialogue, I still laughed myself silly

I think it looks stupid, so I'm probably not going to go see it. I'm one of those people who likes in-depth movies that make you think :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: . This clearly isn't one of those >.< .

^Actually it is, in it's own little twisted way.

I thought it was hysterical, gave me a good laugh, which I haven't had in a while  It really goes out of it's way to insult everyone it possibly can, and a lot of people in the film were unaware of what it was at the time. So it DOES make you think:

    a) How the HELL Sacha Baron Cohen is still alive after the Middle East sequence XD
    b) Just how ridiculously sensitive some people are
    c) Whether it's really making fun of gay people or straight people
    d) How they managed to lie their way into persuading those people to be filmed

I agree with Helen, i was more AMAZED at how he almost got a few bases with Ron Paul (ON Camera) than i was horrified, but i was still horrified. I never had a "Oh my, thats so offensive to me as a gay man" moment. I had ALOT of "Oh my, how did he get there / do that" moments and "Oh my, how is he alive" moments.

Not gonna see it. Not offended by it, just not the sort of movie I see.

Hah, that's funny, I generally stay away from those movies. Ones that make me have to think lose my focus, and my attention goes elsewhere. I go for more romantic comedy stuff, chick flicks... stuff that's pretty straightforward.

I SO wanna see Bruno... I was gonna see it Saturday, but my friend made it plain that she would not pay money to see that movie.

I'm interested in seeing it, but as I seem to be on a comedy burnout I'm not sure I'll enjoy it.

I didn't like it, and thought it played too much into sterotypes

  12. I think this movie is waaay too extreme to be on regular tv, haha.
I definitely laughed all the way through this movie, and it turned out to be a lot funnier then what it looked like on all the commercials.

Oh man, I'm smiling right now just thinking of it. It's a brilliant film and it made me crack up incessantly. It definitely is one of the most graphic and boundary pushing films I've seen. The rule of thumb really is "Did you enjoy Borat?". If you didn't, don't bother going to see it. For everyone who did like Borat, this is just as, if not moreso, hilarious as his Kazakh brother.

I'd be surprised if the edited-for-TV version could even fill a 30 minute time slot. lol

the ghost scene fucking hilarious the entire movie didn't have one borin g part in the theater I was at this one lady walked out of the theater pissed during the swinging the penis scene.

They make fun of the south a lot!

I think its great social commentary on what people will do to be famous and not be themselves. He adopted a baby, forced himself to go straight, went to the middle east and almost got killed, and anything else.

He showed what people will do for attention.

Same here, but you have to give other movies a chance.
