Yeah there's not so many musicals as much as movies, and this one is totally new and probably won't ever get famous. But I saw tonight at Edinburgh Fringe Festival one called "Wolfboy" which is kinda a musical version of 'Lost Boys' and 'Mysterious Skin'. Not really, but I don't know how else to describe it. But it did have two gorgeous British actor leads who sung pretty well, were shirtless half the time, and had more than a few homoerotic, werewolf interactions :icon_wink

So what was the last musical you saw, and what did you think of it?

were the world mine. IF we're talking in an actual theater, then it'd be Avenue Q last summer. me and my "girlfriends" (girls who are friends) went ands saw it with my mom and some of my aunts as part of mom's birthday present. we three sang along with each of the musical numbers and had a blast

I saw Avenue Q last summer as well. It's cool that you can have fun at a risque show like that with your mom and aunts - mine are too old fashioned I guess.

I went to Avenue Q a couple of weeks ago with my mum. We both loved it
The next musical I'm seeing is probably Phantom of the Opera when I go to London in a month

Avenue Q in London about a month ago, next couple are Wicked in London in a couple of weeks, and a touring production of We Will Rock You at the end of Sept.

Love Avenue Q - great fun - and have heard good things about Wicked...

Starlight Express. On rollerskates. Very lighthearted but I enjoyed it

Before that, when I was in NYC I saw:
    1) Spring Awakening. Wasn't that impressed- it was ok but nowhere near as awesome (imho) as...
    2) Hairspray! Terrific acting with some of the original cast incld Tracy's mum (!)

I was lucky enough to see the original Starlight Express in London (when they actually raced around "tracks" built around the audience - I think only the German show still does this...)

Spectacular show - but not exactly "plot driven"... :icon_bigg

    IRL, Hairspray.
Movie wise, HSM3 (which I'm guessing the die hard won't accept, but I liked it)

Hmm... I think that last one I saw this summer was Wicked, which was quite amazing. This summer I get to see The Lion King (again), Mamma Mia, etc. It's gonna rock!
