The advertising agency, BOS Advertising, created this lovely little add here to try and get people to buy overpriced subs.

However, Mr. Sub didn't think it was quite...appropriate...and fired the company. Apparently this add is offensive. Huh, really? Offensive?

    "Im gay."
    "You mean gay gay?"
    "Like super super gay."
"Not everyone likes surprises! ...BUY OUR SUBS!”

Yea, just a *little* bit offensive.

Well it must be a bit awkward that he had so many kids and didn't enjoy the process of baby-making xD

I don't find it offensive, though I would say it was done in bad taste.

I think it's just a dumb ad. Nothing about it makes me want to buy a sub, or think of this particular chain. The gay thing was kinda pointless. So if they fired the agency for making stupid ads, that's one thing, but if it was just because it was a *gay* ad, that's pretty dumb.

I agree, probably in bad taste, but not so offensive that they should get fired over it. What the hell did it have to do with subs anyway?

LOL! That ad was hilarious. Yes it didn't have any literal relation to subs, but a lot of ads these days don't directly relate to something.

it's through association. after having that many kids, the household probably wouldn't want daddy to be "different" so the sub selection at Mr. Sub is supposedly good because it's (mostly) always the same.

such bad taste in making this ad >.>

I think some people found it offensive because they are in essence saying: This dad is gay. That is a "bad surprise" so to avoid things like that eat at Mr. Sub because we never surprise you.
