Are you sure you want to get a Netbook now? With the advent of Windows 7 there's a lot of new devices coming onto the market with newer hardware. Intel's got a new lineup of Atoms out and AMD have produced a series of chips for small form-factor devices which runs loops around the Atom line of processors. As well as this, a lot of new Netbooks are coming with 2GB of RAM these days.

I'd say if you were just web browsing and stuff it'd be fine, but the problem is most Netbooks with the Atom processors trip up a lot when there's flash content on the page and stuff. Also, the 1024x600 resolution is a BITCH for browsing the web easily. Quite a few newer devices have higher-res screens on them these days.

If you want to go with HP, get the Mini 311. It's got the same processor/RAM and stuff, but it has an NVIDIA Ion LE GPU on it, which means it can handle 1080p content, and in turn gives it a higher screen resolution. Basically, this thing will run a lot quicker than most other netbooks for most general tasks.
