I watched But I'm a Cheerleader the other day, and found it very amusing and cute. I find it interesting how her parents and friends knew she was gay before she did... it meant she never had to come out, but instead had to go to gay-camp. What a cheap trade-off!!

If you've seen the film, I'd like to know what your thoughts are, it might spark some interesting conversation!

I love this movie, it makes me smile. The first time I saw it, I wasn't quite out (even to myself), and I found some of the scenes… really um, nice to look at… :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Lol the first time I saw that movie was with my brother and he liked it just as much as I did, which surprised me. I loved the movie, though personally I would have preferred it focused on the guys but well I'm a gay male so what do you expect. Overall I liked it and there were some cute boys there too.

I watched it on YouTube. Camp? Yes. It was still highly amusing, though.

One of my favorite Gay movies! I,too, own the dvd and I have loaned it to many friends.
Another good movie I saw recently (although not a gay movie) is Martian Child. If you haven't seen it,I highly recommend it. Just a thought...

But don't you guys find it kinda strange that everyone around her knows she's gay... before she even has a clue. And she says "i thought everyone had those feelings!" which sparks the question as to how straight people see other girls - and what it means if they find another girl attractive - does everyone have some sort of homosexual attraction even if they are 'straight'?

I heard a great line in a movie once ‘if the time is right you can fall in love with a fence post’
It was a woman by the way that said it.
I think that is totally true maybe not to that extreme, but if we are open enough at the right time we can fall for someone who is totally not our type including gender.
That being said I do think that straight people have homosexual thoughts at times, but just blame it on being lonely or not being happy in a current relationship something along those lines.
I did see the movie, campy as hell but I loved it.:icon_bigg

    oh i looooooooooove this movie!

My mom once rented it when I was little (8ish) to watch with my siblings because she thought it looked funny (way to read the blurb mom, LOL). Anyways, when she saw what it was about she let us watch it anyways and fast forwarded the sexy parts. I remember being REALLY upset, because I thought the girl wasn't a lesbian and they were trying to trick her into thinking she was, so that she would have to stay at the camp.

Of course now I get it and love it, but lmfao @ little me.

(Plus my family is mormon, so I give my mom major kudos for letting us watch it!!)

It was hilarious! The acting might have not been the best, but the way it was all put together made me laugh so hard I cried at some pointed. It was a good story line and the two main-girls were extremely amazing in the kissing scenes <3

Thought it was the cornyest thing i ever saw ... (then i got through about the first 1/2hr of prayers for bobby.. horrible film IMHO)... I FREAKING LOVE THAT MOVIE.

*cough* Because I'm not a slight pervert or anyhting. Fine I liked that scene a little much. But it's a funny movie.
