It seems as if I deleted all the custom content I downloaded for my sims 2 games. It is not in the recycle bin, I have tried doing a system restore with no luck. I had tons of custom content that I downloaded. Can someone please help?
the EA games folder was deleted from the my documents folder. everything in it is gone. ---------- on another note, there where maybe 5 other folders that were in my documents that are gone too, but I don't think there was much in them.
ok-the EA Games folder, and most of the folders inside it, reappeared but the .package files did not. I downloaded the program and am going through it to try to get them back. it is a long list of files...
could you email EA and tell them the situation asking for the content back as a one-ff freebie? in the past EA has been pretty nice to me - they gave me a new copy of a harry potter game on the ps1 a gzillion years ago because my grandmother stepped on it.
This would be more to do with the computer not the program/CD seeing how the game has no control of deleting data from the area of which files are missing. I dont think EA would give a new CD cause a ton of custom files were gone. If they were downloaded from the sims site, perhaps, but I'd guess the most of these files where from other sites.
There are programs that can "undelete" files of your computer, but they don't have the greatest rate at finding recoverable things. I hate to say it, but it looks like your files are gone .
well I went through the list, and it recovered a lot of files. I have not tested to see if it all shows back up in-game. and yes most of them where from other sites. thanks though.
