So for each year of the first decade of the new millenium what were your favourite movies? (1 or 2 per year if you can help it) (Count them on the month they were released in theatres not their DVD release date).

    2000: 1, 2

    2001:

    2003:

2000: Gladiator was my favourite of the year. Then maybe Cast Away.
2001: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring was my favourite. Pearl Harbour was also really good.
2002: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Followed by the Pianist.
2003: The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. (surprise surprise!) followed by Mystic River
2004: Million Dollar Baby was fantastic. Sideways was also good.
2005: So many movies this year that I liked. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Brokeback Mountain, Transamerica Serenity, and Walk the Line are a few of my favourites. (sorry, I couldn't pick only two)
2006: I never saw a whole lot of movies this year for some reason. I guess I'll choose The Da Vinci Code and Borat. I have a lot of unwatched DVDs, Blu Ray discs and HD-DVDs that I'll eventually watch. My picks for this year will probably be a lot different if I had watched them.
2007:3:10 To Yuma and maybe 300. Another year I never really went to the theatre. Again I have a lot of DVDs, Blu-Ray discs, HD-DVDs that I haven't yet watched. Some I'm looking forward to seeing are There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men and Juno
2008: So many movies I liked this year. Milk is one of my new favourites of all time. The Dark Knight, The Wrestler, Wall-E
2009: Up was really good. I also liked District 9.

    ^I approve,

And if I wasn't too ... not sober right now, I'd post my whole spiel.

But as of right now, all I can say is 2009 got OWNED by Inglourious Basterds. And Yes, Chris, I'm ashamed you didn't put that there :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I'm plagued by horrible memory so trying to remember movies from different years would be hell for me but i will say i watched "precious" last night and I'll give that my vote for the whole decade it was an incredibly heart wrenching movie!! so good anyone who hasn't seen it should. you will appreciate the things you have more after wards especially if your in a bout of depression like i get sometimes. the acting was incredible as well I didn't even know mo'nique acted and she was beyond incredible.
