Can we talk about the fail in the CGI Budget in the first few minutes with the island being underwater?

 

Uh yeah, that was seriously bad. But whatever. Overall, the episode was AMAZING!

I've actually stopped getting confused when I watch LOST, I've just accepted that I won't understand a lot of things, and I get excited when I make a connection or something.

It was really nice to see Charlie and Boone, alive. As they are my favorites. Ok, well, Charlie is, and Boone was just a fun guy.

I'm glad that Sayid is alive.

So, is the John Locke look a like guy the smoke monster? How is he connected to the guy from last season's finale that was talking to Jacob wearing all black (when they talked about killing Jacob and there being a loophole).

The flight attendant with the Others. Are they actually Others?

Oh, and Desmond? Why is he on Oceanic 815? I guess, if the bomb actually did work (as Juliette told Sawyer, via Miles), and the Island is underwater, like we saw in the beginning, then there was no way that Desmond could be on the Island. Did he make it on his boat, like across the world? Why is he going to LA?

 

I've only watched up to half of season 2. I borrowed it from a dorm mate about two years ago. I have yet to finish and catch up...

 

Yesss, I think I started a Lost topic last season and it never got much traffic.

The premiere was absolutely incredible and that's really all there is to say on the matter. All of the throwbacks to season 1 made me ridiculously happy and if they maintain this kind of quality then we're in for a hell of a season.

im with you on this one, i think it could have been a much better show if they had more direction and less repetitive crap and got to the point sooner but then again i gave up after i think season two. You can only watch so much of one tiny ass island where nothing really happens. I will most likely rent out all the seasons when its finished just too see what its like as a whole instead of whole bunch of random but really they better have a damn good fricken ending.

Hi Courtneyyy these are just my theories to the questions you posed. I think the man in black is the smoke monster. And since the smoke monster can transform into dead people (remember last season it changed into Alex right in front of Ben) it decided to transform into Locke.

Yes I believe those people at the temple are more Others.

I have no clue as to why Desmond's on Oceanic, but basically I think that since the bomb did go off in that timeline it changed history. Examples: Shannon deciding not to go back with Boone, etc. I think the real question we should be asking is why did Desmond suddenly disappear from the plane? There's something fishy about that.

Anyways I'm a huge LOST nerd! I loved the premiere! And I can't wait for next week! (!)

 

why are there no gay characters on the show?

 

There was. One of the others (i forget his name) was gay. It's really subtle and his orientation has virtually no affect on the show. I believe he's dead now though.

 

I won't call discrimination on Fox.. :lol: ...As long as they give me Evangeline Lilly or make her character at least bi.
