Over the years, Burton has created some crazy movies, both his own ideas and others. Alice in Wonderland's coming out soon and it looks pretty vivid compared to some of his most recent ideas.

Although, like always, a bit of crazy whacky spots thrown in.

I CANNOT wait!! The eccentric Mr. Burton takes me places that my mind couldn't even imagine, and I think his twisted vision of the world is delicious!!

I do note that this movie is only getting average reviews on Rotten Tomatoes though... The knock seems to be that it is an eye-candy festival but may be a little weak on content. But then that was their same knock against Avatar and everyone seemed to like that movie (I still haven't seen it yet :icon_sad:slight_smile:! Well, I'm hoping for the best!

Yep I'm going to see it on Friday with a group of friends. Can't wait! (!)

  9. Everything (except for Sweeney Todd) after Mars Attacks! sucks. He literally does nothing but these weird off-the wall "dark" acid trip movies. I love those, but he needs to branch out a little bit!

^ They're not really dark acid trips xD They're kinda lame IMO xD Watch David Lynch if you want a dark acid trip xD

  11. I can second that...Lost Highway wtf

  12. Of course they're not dark. I said it in quotation marks. I haven't really watched much Lynch, but I probably should. I like acid trips a lot even thought I'm 100% clean and sober!

Try some Terry Gilliam on for size as well :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas

  14. ^Not quite as acid trippy as Fear and Loathing, but his movie Brazil is crazy as well.

One thing we can all be sure of is that this film will be weird as hell! Given that alice in wonderland is already a weird story in itself, adding Tim Burton to that is just gonna give something crazy!

I can't wait for this to come out down here! Love Tim Burton's work. Having said that, I reckon you guys should go to College Humor, and search Tim Burton. The video of his, "Magic Formlula" is. . .well. . .really true.

I am not much of a burton fan myself. I loathe johnny depp.

howerver, I lovelovelove anne hathaway and helena bonham carter, plus I just want to see how this one looks in 3D, so I will see it a few week later once the intial crowd dies down, and all that is left are the bored *and sometimes slightly skanky* housewive come in droves to gush and drool over depp... HE LOOKS LIKE A WOMAN!

Looking forward to seeing this, I do love Burton movies, Edward Scissorhands is still my favourite though.

Weird how I absolutely love a lot of these trippy films you're talking about, Brazil, Fear & Loathing and especially Lost Highway are some of my favourite films. I love a bit of Lynch. Don't know what that says about me.

I ended up seeing it last night in 3D. my friend went with me, and it took me a while to get the feeling back in my arm because she was terrified of the jabberwocky.
