If I could watch it, I'd comment xD But Thanks to the ABC-Cablevision feud going on, I can't ^_^

Regardless, Avatar better not win Best Picture.

EDIT: Saw on IMDB that Christoph Waltz won his well deserved award. Fuck Yeah.

I just started watching it (has been recording on the DVR) and I think I'll be happy as long as this is the case.

I'm watching it now, and I was really surprised to see Macaulay Culkin, whom I love

sad jk rowling is not presenting as planned. But if the trade-off is not seeing Stephenie Meyers greased up and crammed into a unflattering dress 5 sizes to tight for her again, then I can forgo jo rowling pesentig a award. lets just hope the book she stayed behind to write will be announced in the coming few years...

I am bored with it now. I watched mainly for the opening parts with steve and alec, who I both love so much that I would kick meryl out of the threesome and hope some comedic skill would rub off.

The horror movie "tribute" or what you will was pretty awesome  I especially liked the inclusion of the hobbling scene in Misery :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    I agree.

Makes me wanna go watch a horror movie now. haha

    ------------------------------------------

BTW--Anyone know what was the name of the movie in that tribute that showed a small boy rounding a hall on a tricycle meeting these creepy twin girls in some dresses? I never seen that one and was just wondering.

I am watching some of it. I like what I've seen. All winners seem deserving up to this point.
    I'm so happy for UP!

    ^ STANLEY KUBRICK'S THE SHINING.

That scene is the reason I didn't watch it for like 10 years xD Ruined my childhood of tricycle riding through hotel hallways. xD

And this part when they show all the actors and writers and everyone who died this past year makes me cry :frowning2: But James Taylor FTW <3

I was just thinking that myself..

    1) Twilight is not a horror movie..
    2) If Twilight were a horror movie, it still wouldn't deserve to be part of that package.

The clips were shown throughout the whole awards show.

I was really happy they did that. They didn't do the clips right then because they did that part sporadically throughout the program. The suddenness was kinda awesome xD Also, the program was going on too long xD Lets just wait and see if Cablevision turns off ABC again xD

I like how they now put in all the nominees and talk about them in between awards, and then get straight to the point later on. Now, Tom Hanks went much to fast, but thats fine. Great show, HURT LOCKER FTW!

  20. I can't tell you how happy I am that Avatar walked away with only three awards, all of which had to do with the visuals. This is the first time in a long time that the Academy got it completely right. I was honestly happy with all of the winners this year.

Oh, and the horror movie tribute was totally unexpected and completely awesome.
