    I think Ricky just assumed people either knew, or he didn't want to offend those who had no clue, but were fans anyway?

    I think there were always rumors and crap, but I really thought he was just a flamboyant straight dude haha

    Pretty cool that he officially came out though. Even cooler that he has 2 adopted kids and maybe people will see that it isnt such a bad thing after all? We can hope haha

    Well Ricky Martin in the past was in the closet. It was just rumours and besides most stories of celebs in the media is bs. I not 100% sure if it is true. Him with the gay rumours just further gives him media attention and they do that in order to further raise his profile.

    Yes he has large amount of gay fans and surely an gay icon.
