Arcade Fire's "Black Mirror" won against Grizzly Bear's "Two Weeks" in the last round. Here is your next round of songs, both of which are pretty inspirational. Grandaddy - "Elevate Myself" Baz Luhrmann - "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)"
How could you ever find new music then? You might end up loving it. Just because something isn't popular enough for you to not have heard of before doesn't mean it isn't worth listening to. Now. Considering I haven't exactly heard either song before (except Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen), which I only heard very recently), I liked the Grandaddy song better. Baz Luhrmann is awesome though.
The point of the first round is to weed out the songs that someone liked enough to nominate but don't have enough mass appeal to win.
Have you considered running more than one round per week, particularly if you are trying to weed out songs?
damn. i missed a TON of the song votes... but yes, arcade fire >>>> grizzly bear and <3 <3 <3 grandaddy <3 <3 <3
Never heard both of them before. But I actually listened to both. I like the last one's advice a lot, but idk if I'd honestly consider it a song. XD It was mostly talking... I'd listen to it as an inspiring "speech" but not really a song I'd listen to randomly. The first one was more of a song, in my opinion. So, idk what to vote for. I'm going to vote for the second one, because I liked it most, though both were nice in different ways.
For the record, I don't stick strictly to the once-a-week schedule I once planned on following. I usually post the next round when the last post falls onto the second page.
